The girls teach the boys how to fish

Today started as per usual with a walk to school with my Amy. On my way home today I discovered the barge had been and that means fresh fruit and vegies!! It takes a while for the forklifts to unload the barge of all its cargo and deliver it to the 2 shops on the island. Once its unpacked, its time to shop!! So we had delicious fresh salad for lunch and a vegetarian dinner.

Ben and I had another long walk along the beach, I think we got half way around the island today. Its very relaxing and I am really enjoying this time with him. We don't talk heaps but its nice just to have some time together. We found a couple of lovely shells today and another beautiful blue clam

The afternoon was quiet as Amy came home from school early. There is a lot of gastro around, locally known as "belly run" ( quite fitting really ). So Amy spent a bit of time just reading and chatting with our Adopt-a-dog "Coconut". Coconut has been on the island for all of her 14 years and belongs to the resident RAN. She is a lovely dog and like to sleep on our front verandah. She only has one ear as was attacked by a dog a few years ago and lost an ear. And she loves to eat coconuts, hence her name.

When Rob arrived home we took off to the jetty for a spot of fishing. Rob was first to catch something tonight

Followed by Ben...

Then Jo.....

And Amy...

And Jo again, the locals called this a javelin fish and we will eat it tomorrow

....Notice how the fish are getting bigger, the girls won tonight !!! After Ben let his "bait" go, he decided to have a quick snorkle. Armed with his heavy duty gloves, he discovered this sea urchin.....its never dull.
Yawo until tomorrow......
